An Italian thread weaves through many chef crafted traditional and contemporary selections highlighted with indigenous local microflair food items. Villagio’s menu features many farm to table ingredients. Presentations are leading edge and truly create a wow factor. Meet the Chef

Chef Alberto Avila brings his creativity, flare, and exceptional cuisine to the Villagio Italian Grille located inside the AAA Four-Diamond Renaissance World Golf Village Resort Convention Center and Beach Club. Chef Alberto’s exceptional Italian dishes feature fresh farm to fork ingredients and exquisite presentation. Chef Alberto enjoys leading guests on a culinary exploration, sharing recipes through tasting room demonstrations and private cooking classes.

Chef Alberto has participated in many great events throughout Northeast Florida including Jacksonville Caring Chefs, Ponte Vedra Wine Fest, TPC Golf Tournament, World Golf Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies, the American Culinary Federation Master Chefs and the 2005 Superbowl. He has volunteered for a Hurricane Katrina fundraiser and was actively involved with Oklahoma City’s Schmooza-palooza and the Regional Food Bank and March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction where he took 2nd place among top chefs in 2010.

Prior to joining The Renaissance World Golf Village Resort, Chef Avila was the Chef and Owner of Santioni’s in Ponte Vedra Beach. Previous positions include Restaurant Chef at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort for four years, and Chef/ Owner of Antony’s Ristorante in Haledo, New Jersey.
